Detect Familiar is a Divination spell that a Mage or Sorcerer may cast to detect the presence of Familiars and animal companions belonging to other magic users. The longer the caster of this spell is in the area, the more information is gleaned from the familiar detected. The magic user must be able to say the spell correctly, and complete the appropriate hand gestures.
